How To Be Saved

Admit that you’re a sinner and miss the mark. “… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3.23

Be willing to repent … to turn and go in the opposite way from sin toward righteousness.Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” — Acts 17.30–31

Believe that Jesus Christ died in your place, was buried, and then resurrected. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” — Romans 10.9–10

Invite Jesus Christ to be your personal savior. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” — Romans 10.13

Pray and declare this: Dear God, I acknowledge that I’m a sinner and that sin separates me from you. I cannot save myself. I need a savior. I believe that Jesus died on the cross in my place, to pay for my sin and offer me forgiveness. I believe that He rose from the dead and that He loves me and wants an eternal relationship with me. I am willing to turn from sin and give my live to Jesus. I put my faith in Jesus only and declare that He is my Lord and Savior.

Next steps:Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness…” — Matthew 6.33 Read the Bible daily. Reading plans are available online. Pray every day. Prayer is simply talking with God. Find a group or church where you can get to know fellow believers and where Christ is preached and the Bible is considered the ultimate authority. Get baptized. Baptism doesn’t save you but it’s a public declaration of your life with Christ.
